About SLAM
Salt Lake Academy of Music (SLAM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Steve Auerbach, Terence Hansen, and Derrek Wright. Since opening in January 2020, SLAM has provided hundreds of instruments, lessons, and program enrollments to SL County residents on a free-to-fee sliding scale.
SLAM offers inclusive, equitable, and high-quality music instruction from an award-winning team of recording artists, producers, music industry professionals, as well as Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. - level music educators.
SLAM delivers online or in-person instruction from state-of-the-art studios located in the Sugar House District of Salt Lake City only one block from I-80 off of 1300 east and on light rail, bus, and bicycle lines/lanes. The facility is located off of Wilmington Avenue in the driveway between the Sugar House Center and Legacy Village with free parking lot and street parking, as well as paid covered parking.

Monday - Friday, 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
